on Business Performance of Japan System Bank Corporation For the 2nd quarter of its 9th term (July 1-December 31, 2004) @
The above counting is subject to change due to our midterm account settlement which will be announced on December 31, 2004. We absorbed two 100-percent subsidiaries on November 31, 2003. In spite of the severe business environment, we succeeded in making up for the costs of relocating our head quarters and the investments in new business fields. Our business goes almost as planed. The asset management is the fastest-growing part of our business. Expecting that a recent trend of the Tokyo metropolitan area toward returning to the city center will have an impact on other local cities, we are enhancing the operating activities. We promote a reutilization of vacant buildings, lots, houses in the inner-city districts. Of course, we continue to make great efforts to boost short-term parking lot business. Through these projects, we attempt to contribute to regional revitalization. We applied for a patent for the urban renewal projects that had been realized. They will be made in public under the trademarks of "Bakery Plaza," "Ko-gei-sha" (House of Arts and Crafts), "Healthy Plaza," etc. As well as our proposal to restructure inefficient parking lots, they will make a difference in urban redevelopment. |
